Question to all atheists or Christians or persons ?

Wouldn't god be bad for being a tempter? I mean I thought the devil was a d*ck for temptation as I'm taught it's wrong but god tempts people! Isn't it rude for him to be like," y'all can do whatever y'all want, but y'all can't eat from that tree right there...but I'm not looookinggg and you don't know right from wronggg but still don't do it." I mean he punished people for doing wrong when they didn't know what wrong was!
