Is there something wrong with my eyes?

I have blue eyes but today I noticed a small brown dot in the left one.I have often noticed dull pain in both eyes which I think is neuralgia but I am uncertain as to why the brown dot has suddenly appeared.I have scheduled an appointment with my doctor tomorrow but has anyone else ever had the same thing occur?If so,what could it be?
